True Wealth Mentorship
Wisdom for a world that won’t hold still.
True Wealth Mentorship helps leaders, teams, and individuals make sound decisions when the old playbook stops working, through practical wisdom, disciplined character, and communication that builds trust instead of burning it.

Who we serve.
Civic leaders. Elected officials and city staff make decisions in public view, often under time pressure. We help them pause before reacting, communicate in ways that rebuild trust, and make decisions that hold up under scrutiny.
Business and financial leaders. Clients and teams expect certainty in uncertain conditions. We help firms develop leaders who listen well, ask better questions, and make values-aligned calls when the data runs out.
Individuals and families. For people, often at a turning point, who want the way they spend their time and attention to reflect what they value most.
Past groups include the City of Coppell, Texas, Grand Canyon University, and guests at the Modern Elder Academy in Baja. Our approach ↗

A letter from Ron
Why I created True Wealth Mentorship.
Like most people, I have wanted to live a good life. Over a long career in financial services, including leading my own office at a national financial planning firm, I learned that the questions behind a financial plan often matter as much as the numbers.
Clients came looking for clarity about money, but people do not always know what they want, even when they arrive with an important financial question. We were often trying to work through deeper questions: what is enough, what are we trying to build, how should we use our time, relationships, talents, and resources.
True Wealth Mentorship is my continuing effort to make room for those questions. It brings together ideas and practical tools from financial planning, philosophy, leadership, and my own experiences with change, mistakes, and starting over.
I’ve found that gratitude, clear priorities, character, and a willingness to learn from experience make hard decisions a little easier. So that’s what I try to offer advisors, organizations, and individuals: a few practical tools, and some good questions to take home.

A workshop program built around stories, questions, and practical tools, often outdoors.
0+ years of workshops, coaching, and mentorship.
Some of the lessons that have stayed with me longest came from time outdoors: walks along the Baja shoreline, long afternoons on a river with a fly rod. Experience teaches in ways a binder rarely does. So when we can, we take the work outside, around a fire at the Modern Elder Academy or on the water in Asheville. People slow down out there. They listen to each other, and they remember what was said.

In their own words.
Ron has a way of asking questions that helps you see your own life more clearly. Our work has given me a better way to think about my priorities. He also helped us get a new park built here in town, and honestly I don’t think it happens without him.Bob · Mentorship participant
I’ve known Ron professionally for many years, and over time he’s become a trusted friend and advisor to my family. He brings real experience to the table, listens carefully, and helps us think through important decisions without ever being prescriptive.Avi · Mentorship participant
I’ve known Ron for years, and I’ve come to really value him as a mentor. He has decades of knowledge and experience to draw from, and he’s always been generous about sharing it. Whether we’re talking business or life, I usually walk away with a perspective I hadn’t considered before.Galen · Owner, Asheville Fly Fishing
We’ve done a lot of trips with Ron over the years, from long days on the river to dinners afterward with the group. He has a way of bringing together interesting people, and there’s always a good conversation going. Some of my favorite trips we’ve hosted have been with Ron and his groups.Trevor · Guides of Jackson Hole

Gratitude, True Wealth, and You.
Ron wrote this book to share the stories and exercises from his workshops. His next book is about making good decisions.
If you want a feel for how Ron works with people, start here. These are two of the exercises he uses in his book and workshops, and you can try either one yourself in about fifteen minutes.
